Protoss vs. Zerg |
Goal
This is a all-in strategy that focus to overwhelming enemy forces early on
Build Order:
- 9 - Pylon (I usually scout with this probe)
- 12 - Gateway, Cybernetics Core when Gateway finishes
- 14-15 - Assimilator
- 17-18 - Cybernetics Core
From now on you should build zealots (to block your ramp) and more gateways until you have 4 use your chronoboost to get warpgates and go on a fast attack, building a proxy pylon for reinforcements troops.
Main keys to this build work well
- First of all DO a great job on scouting, this build is especially weak against roaches (for obviously reasons, roaches walk faster then zealots and has tons of life, do great damage in small range, can be replaced faster then zealot).
- DO NOT be supply blocked (every second counts for perfect push).
- If Roaches is on the way, make a fine composition of zealots and stalkers (try to fight over the cliffs aiming to advantage), getting the robotics facility for fast immortals to deal with them (if he make more zerglings them roaches counter with some more zealots and maybe a sentry or two).
- Chronoboost your research, for real fast gateways
- If Zerg takes his expansion be sure to put some pressure on him, not allowing him to gain economic advantage (he'll be on low army count, so this is a window to attack).
- Proxy pylon's a perfect choice after you get warpgates.
Important defencive points:
- Make sure that you'll not be surprised by a speedling counter (sentries and zealots can help in this issue).
- DO NOT take your expansion unless you've been very successful on attack and you're pretty sure that a late game based on macro can garantee your win.
- DO NOT overreact after spot some roaches (it's a common way to loose a game by overreacting a expected attack, and get late because of this).
This opening focus on economic damage on your enemy side. So be sure to do great damage on his economy to pressure him make some mistakes. Priorize zealots if you see lots os zerglins, and stalkers if he has roaches or spinecrawlers.
That's all, if you micro well you'll do lots of damage, train over and over and gain confidence for the perfect timing attacks.
Very nice post, i'll try those things later !!

Tutorial was okay for Bronze, maybe Silver players who have never 4-Gated before. What it's missing is a real build order though. Here's one for you:
ReplyDelete9 Pylon
Use first three Chrono Boosts on Probes
12 Gateway - scout with Probe
14 Assimilator
16 Pylon
18 Core
19 Zealot
23 Probe
24 Stalker
26 Warpgate (Chrono Boost this three times)
27 Gateway - send a Probe close to opponent's base
28 Sentry
30 2 Gateways
31 Pylon near opponent's base (with Probe sent at 27)
After that, warp in 3 waves of units, and attack. If you have it right, you should be attacking at around 7:30.
After that, if you've done significant damage, warp in more waves and attack with them 4 units at a time. If you haven't, expand and get a Robotics Facility, and enter the mid-game.
I've won 6 of my last 10 games with this, even though I've never successfully attacked at 7:30 (About 7:50 is my best) at Silver, so it should work for most readers of this tutorial.
Good luck!
No this build actually works even on Diamond ranks, i am Diamond myself...but your build is exactally what i've described !!!
ReplyDeletethe main diference is that the post is about what to do when you see something, how to react, e mostly important DO NOT overreact to certain situations !!
Thanks pal !!
